Description:
The vertical preheater is a common heat exchange equipment and one of the important components of the active lime rotary kiln system, which is mainly used to preheat the raw materials entering the lime kiln. In lime plants, vertical preheaters are usually located at the front of the kiln and are used to heat raw materials such as limestone to a certain temperature to improve calcining efficiency and save energy
Vertical Preheater System Components:
1. Upper feeding system: Includes upper silo and lower pipe for safe, sealed feeding to the preheater body. The Bar valve facilitates continuous or intermittent feeding.
2. Preheater body: Heats material to about 900°C, composed of a preheating chamber, suspension device, and refractory brick lining. Metal components, some using heat-resistant steel.
3. Push device: Consists of push head, frame, and connecting rod. Push head made of heat-resistant steel for high-temperature operation, controlled by electronic and hydraulic systems.
4. Hydraulic system: Controls the push device to execute the push action.
5. Lower feeding chamber: Preheats material for rotary kiln calcination.
6. Frame: Supports the upper structure of the preheater.
Function and Operation:
The vertical preheater utilizes kiln exhaust gas to heat materials, commonly used with active lime rotary kilns. Suitable for preheating limestone or dolomite with a rational structure, high thermal efficiency, and automation.
Operation Process:
Raw material enters the flue gas isolation cover and is evenly distributed in the annular stacking space. Hot flue gas from the rotary kiln (900-1000°C) enters the stacking space, flowing backward through the material layer for heat exchange. Preheated materials at 600°C are pushed into the kiln using push-rod disloaders for uniform feeding. Exhaust gas (300°C) is discharged into the atmosphere through the electric precipitator's smoke exhaust machine.
